FAQs
When should I wear my Apple Watch (or other wearable)?
The most beneficial time to wear your device is while you sleep. Assuming you use your Apple Watch to record your workouts, wearing it before, during and after is beneficial as well.
We recommend establishing a charging habit — for example, charging your Apple Watch while you make and eat dinner, then putting it on before you fall asleep.
My Apple Watch keeps running out of battery life. What can I do?
Your Apple Watch is often trying to do a lot at once, all behind the scenes. Our recommendations:
Open the Walkie Talkie app and switch the toggle to off.
Go to Settings > General > Background App Refresh, and start turning off apps. We recommend setting all toggles to off except for anything related to your heart rate, sleep, or health. Leave those on.
Force restart your watch and restart your paired phone. Find directions here.
Use it as an excuse to buy an Apple Watch Ultra.

I'm having trouble connecting my wearable device to my iPhone's Health app. What should I do?
For Apple Watch athletes, first check that your watch is connected and paired with your phone.
Next, open the Settings app and navigate to Privacy & Security > Motion & Fitness and make sure you've enabled Fitness Tracking, Health, and any 3rd party fitness apps (eg Garmin Connect, Strava, Whoop, etc). Apple Watch athletes: check the same settings on your Apple Watch.
Open the Health app on your phone, select your profile icon in the top right, and navigate to Privacy > Apps and Services. Make sure any apps associated with capturing your fitness and sleep metrics have their data sharing turned on.
If the problem persists and you use a 3rd party fitness wearable (anything besides an Apple Watch), try deleting and reinstalling the associated app for it.
As you set up any other health and fitness apps that you download from the App Store, follow their onscreen instructions to allow them to share data with Apple's Health app.
I'm having trouble connecting Lucid to my phone's Health app. What should I do?
Open the Health app on your phone, select your profile icon in the top right, and navigate to Privacy > Apps and Services > Lucid Athlete. Make sure all listed metrics have their data sharing turned on.
If the problem persists, try deleting and reinstalling Lucid Athlete. When you first launch the reinstalled Lucid Athlete app, follow the onscreen instructions and make sure you allow data sharing with Apple's Health app.
Do I need an Apple Watch? Will Lucid Athlete work with other wearables?
Lucid Athlete is designed to work best with an Apple Watch. However, any wearable that regularly syncs full sleep and heart rate data to Apple Health should work.
While we don't support 3rd party wearables, these have confirmed full or partial functionality with Lucid Athlete when synced with Apple Health:
Whoop
Is Lucid Athlete available for Android?
